Individual researchers may interpret research integrity in various ways, especially given the diversity of research approaches in modern science. Therefore, understanding the misconceptions held by research integrity learners is important, as it can help instructors customize their lessons to target areas in which knowledge is incomplete. I hope that sharing this information allows the audience to stimulate ideas and discussion on ways to enhance the design of research integrity instruction and assessments.
